ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr. Steinberg graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry
and shortly thereafter joined the faculty of the Columbia University
School of Dental and Oral Surgery where he taught undergraduate students
preventive dentistry. While at Columbia, he earned a Masters of Science
from the Institute of Human Nutrition and became a National Institutes of
Health postdoctoral fellow in nutrition research.
In 1989, he began his private practice in West New York, New Jersey while
continuing to teach graduate and postgraduate dentists, work and publish
studies on periodontal disease, dental caries and nutrition at the Center
for Clinical Research in Dentistry at Columbia University and later in the
Division of Oral Biology of the New Jersey Dental School of the University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Along with general dentistry, he has acquired a special interest in TMD
and sleep disorders. He studied with many well-known experts in these
fields. His practice philosophy includes a conservative,
non-surgical approach to pain management. He strongly believes in
providing gentle care, utilizing the best available technologies in
diagnosis and treatment.

His hobbies include gardening, tropical fish and
cycling. He is married with two boys. His wife,
Carolyn, is the office manager.
